Parental Involvement

Parental Involvement

One of the strengths of the Cardijn Community is the involvement of our parents in the life of the College.

Cardijn is a partnership between parents and the College and we seek a commitment from families to participate in the life of the community in one or more of the following activities:

  • representing parents on the College Board
  • coaching sports teams or being involved in sporting activities such as the Annual Sports Day
  • assisting with the maintenance work of grounds and buildings
  • assisting with youth ministry programs
  • helping in the Library
  • supporting the school co-curricular sporting program
  • assisting in the Arts Learning Area (Drama, Music, Art, etc.)

Getting involved
When parents/guardians want to contribute as a volunteer at Cardijn College they must obtain a police clearance through the Catholic Police Check Unit and complete an induction process.

This process is mandatory as part of the College and SACCS Child Protection Policy. The application for the Catholic police check is facilitated through the College and is free of charge. A one hour induction seminar is usually held in early March of each year.

If you’d like to get involved with the College community, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
